• House of Tungsten

    Empathize . Activate . Create .

House of Tungsten is an international innovation and brand activation agency, helping global brands and organisations with localisation of their global offering in East Africa.

what we do

empathize . activate . create .

We deliver insight. To understand your audience.

We tell intriguing stories. And make these reach relevant targets.

We design experiences. And make them emotionally engaging.

We create connection. And build strong brands.

We are not an ad agency nor a strategy consultancy.

We help global brands and organisations to connect to their local audience.

what we believe

with an eye on East Africa

Africa is booming. Global companies, brands and institutions have started to take a serious look

at the continent and its endless potential.

Aligning your global brand, products, services or programs within an African context,

can be a challenging effort in an unknown, rapidly evolving and very different environment.

A serious understanding of the needs, wants and dreams of your target audience

is needed to truly connect your offering in a (cost) effective and efficient way.

With years of international marketing and innovation experience in the pocket,

we fell in love with the emerging East African region. From 2011 onwards we dove into the variety of

contexts, industries, target behaviour and developed a strong local network.

We capitalise on providing local knowledge, tools and experiences to help you create and
build durable connections between your East African audience and your unique offering.

Our purpose is to drive growth for brands and organisations focusing on East Africa,

while delivering state of the art strategies, design and innovative works

for brands and organisations that (aim to) make a difference.

Jeffrey Pricket

Director of Global Operations at Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (Stanford Seed) / Stanford University

I recently worked with House of Tungsten on an important program launch in Kenya (and East Africa), which included marketing strategy, execution and event management. House of Tungsten came as a recommendation through our professional network on the ground in Kenya, and from strategic planning to detailed execution, I was able to come to an understanding of why this was the case. Our project and launch was extremely important for the organization, and with many parties involved across long distances, it was imperative to create a common understanding for the vision by challenging assumptions, planning the different elements for marketing and the event with a focus on this vision, and executing it all with a focus on the details. From this challenging undertaking, all feedback we received was extremely positive, and Tungsten's role was critical in making this happen. I thank Januska and her team for their commitment, willingness to challenge assumptions, and focus on detailed execution.
